We meet ALL OF OUR GUESTS on the Peppers Blue on Blue deck outside the Boardwalk Restaurant & Bar.

If you have selected our ex-Townsville options which includes Sealink ferry tickets from Townsville, please see below for important information about where to go, what time and how to collect your tickets.
MAP OF NELLY BAY TERMINAL & SURROUNDS:
Please meet on the Peppers Deck outside the restaurant (where the tables and chairs are) next to the car barge ramp. You will see a Tour Meeting Point sign (see photo).  One of the crew will meet you there and show you to the boat.

Please note it is a private marina and all guests must be escorted.

TRAVELLING FROM TOWNSVILLE?

IMPORTANT FERRY INFORMATION
If you're coming from Townsville, see below for the recommended Ferry Times for all our experiences. Feel free to come earlier or leave later so you get to enjoy more of Magnetic Island.

Please ensure you arrive at least 20 minutes before the ferry departs bearing in mind there may be traffic and delays due to finding a spot to park your car. If you miss the ferry we will be unable to provide a refund or reschedule you.

All ferries listed below are the Sealink Ferries, which depart from the Breakwater Terminal on Sir Leslie Thiess Drive in Townsville.

FERRY TICKETS:
If you have selected the ex-Townsville option or booked ferry tickets with us, we will email you the ferry tickets a few hours before your cruise. If you plan to travel in advance of this, please text me to receive your ferry tickets earlier.

Our cruises will wait for these ferries, so if the ferry is delayed we will wait for the ferry to arrive before we depart.

LUNCHTIME SAILING CRUISE
  • December to March: Townsville departure at 7.45 am | Depart Magnetic Island:  1.35 pm after the cruise
  • April to November: Townsville departure at 9.30 am  | Depart Magnetic Island: 3.00 pm after the cruise

SIP & SAIL SUNSET CRUISE
  • January | February | March:  Depart Townsville: 4.30 pm before the cruise |  Depart Magnetic Island: 8 pm after the cruise
  • April | May | June| July | August | September:  Depart Townsville: 3.50 pm before the cruise |  Depart Magnetic Island: 6.35 pm after the cruise
  • October: Depart Townsville: 3.50 pm before the cruise| Depart Townsville: 8 pm before the cruise
  • November | December:  Depart Townsville: 4.30 pm before the cruise| Depart Magnetic Island: 8 pm after the cruise

PRIVATE CHARTERS
  • Refer to ferry timetable link below based on your experience start time. The ferry takes 25 minutes to get to the Island.

PILGRIM ADVENTURES (including Breakfast Picnic)
  • Morning departures (8.15 or 8.30 am):  Depart Townsville: 7.45 am | Depart Magnetic Island:  1.35 pm (or 3 pm if you have booked Sea the Secret Seven) after the experience
  • Afternoon departures (2 pm):  Depart Townsville 1.00 pm | Depart Magnetic Island: 6.35 pm after the experience.

GOURMET PICNIC ON A REMOTE BEACH
  • Depart Townsville: 9.30 am |  Depart Magnetic Island: 1.35 pm after the experience

OTHER INFORMATION

PENDING BOOKING:  If your booking is showing as "Pending" this is due to the minimum numbers not yet being met. We monitor bookings in real time and will notify you as soon as we meet the minimum number. Or we will be in touch a few days before the experience to discuss options. Or for the Adventures, while we arrange a skipper for your experience. 


WHAT TO WEAR:  We recommend you wear comfortable clothes and shoes with light-coloured soles and no heels. Please advise your guests of this. During the summer months during the day the decks can get hot, so we recommend bringing a pair of thongs or similar, which are easy to slip on and off. 


WHAT TO BRING: 
Lunchtime Cruise: Please bring swimmers, towels, a hat and sunscreen.  Also please bring a reusable (ideally non-single-use) water bottle.  Chilled drinking water is available on board, which we can refill your bottles with during the day. 

SNORKELLING ON PILGRIM
Snorkelling is not guaranteed and the ability to snorkel will depend on the conditions on the day.  
If you have a snorkel and mask, you are welcome to bring this (snorkels, marks or fins are not available onboard). 

However if you plan to snorkel when on board, we will require a snorkel waiver form to be completed. This must be completed by everyone who will be snorkelling. Multiple people can be added to the form.

We request that you complete this prior to joining us on the day. 
Adventures: Please bring swimmers, towels and a hat. During winter we recommend bringing something warm for in between swims/snorkels. 

Sunset Cruises: Nothing specific required.

SEASICKNESS: Please be aware that although Cleveland Bay is protected there can be some swell on occasions, if you are susceptible to seasickness or worried that you could be we recommend you take precautions/medication before the trip. We recommend Travacalm (the blue one) and only taking half to one tablet one hour before you come sailing.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Please contact us if you have any special requirements for your charter or if there are any allergies or dietary requirements, we need to be aware of. 

WEATHER:  As the weather can change quickly any decision will be made by the skipper on the day.  We will contact you in the event of strong winds or heavy rain.
