A Glimpse at your Day to Dusk Private Charter
What to Expect
Your Day to Dusk Charter begins at the Magnetic Island Marina in Nelly Bay. One of our friendly crew will meet you on the Peppers Blue on Blue deck and show you over to Pilgrim, our stunning 58-foot sailing yacht. She’s classic, elegant, and purpose-built for relaxing days on the water.
After a warm welcome and a full safety briefing, it’s time to cast off, hoist the sails, and let the sea breeze lead the way.
We’ll sail for around an hour along the breathtaking Magnetic Island coastline, giving you plenty of time to take in the views, soak up the salty air, and maybe even spot some local wildlife.
Once we find the perfect bay—usually Arthur, Florence or Radical Bay—we’ll drop anchor and stay for a couple of hours. The exact location depends on the day’s weather and winds, but all offer calm, clear waters and a relaxed, tropical vibe. Keep an eye out for sea turtles gliding past, colourful fish darting below the surface, or majestic sea eagles soaring overhead. The island’s fringing reef teems with marine life, and its granite headlands are a haven for birdlife.
What You Can Do While at Anchor
You’ll have about an hour to play before lunch is served. Choose your own adventure:
Stretch out on comfy beanbags and soak in the sunshine
Swim in the clear turquoise waters
Float on our giant inflatable mat with a drink in hand
Explore the beach and spot wildlife along the shoreline
If you’re an experienced snorkeler, you are welcome to bring your own gear and if conditions allow there will be an opportunity to snorkel the fringing reef.
A Delicious Local Grazing Platter
One of the highlights of the charter is lunch: a generous grazing platter created with love by Clare and the crew. Featuring the best locally sourced ingredients—including fresh prawns—it’s all about celebrating the flavours of North Queensland. Think yummy cheeses, fresh prawns, tropical fruits, and more. Dietary requirements can be accommodated when advised at the time of booking.
Pair your lunch with a crisp organic wine, a chilled local beer, or a refreshing soft drink.

And a Sunset Cruise
After a day of fun, relaxation, and incredible food, we’ll lift anchor and set sail just in time to catch the golden hour. Cruising back to Nelly Bay as the sun dips below the horizon, this experience is the perfect blend of day-time adventure and sunset magic.

Times vary throughout the year.
You’ll be greeted on the Peppers Deck by one of our friendly crew, who’ll walk you to the yacht and help you get comfortable on board.
Once we leave the marina and hoist the sails, sit back with a local wine, beer or soft drink and enjoy a scenic sail to a sheltered bay (about an hour).
At anchor, take your pick — go for a swim, relax on the floating mat, explore the beach, or simply unwind on deck.
A generous grazing platter will be served to enjoy at your own pace while soaking up the surroundings.
After a couple of hours, we’ll make our way back to Nelly Bay, sailing into the golden afternoon light — a peaceful and beautiful end to the experience.

Cruise times vary throughout the year to align with sunset.
The cruise will start between 1.00 pm and 2.30 pm, and return between 6.00 pm and 7.30 pm

Guests are requested to arrive 15 minutes before the cruise begins.

Our private charters have a minimum charge which equates to ten adults. Prices are as follows:
Adult (15 and over): From $299 pp
Child (ages 1-14): From $199 pp
Infants under one: FOC
Minimum charge: $2,990 (ex. public holidays)
All prices include the environmental management charge of $8.00 per person
Please note there is a $20pp supplement on Public Holidays
For larger group bookings (16 guests or more), please contact us directly to arrange. A 10% discount is applicable on larger bookings.

If you are travelling from Townsville, our charter times are aligned to the SeaLink ferry timetable and we can package in the ferry tickets to make the transfer from Townsville seamless.
Add the ferry tickets as an extra when booking and we’ll email you the tickets the day before your event.

Magnetic Island: Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, Nelly Bay - on the deck outside the Boardwalk Restaurant.
Ex-Townsville: Please catch the Sealink ferry from the Breakwater Terminal and then head to the meeting point at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort. Your ferry tickets will be emailed to you a the night before the cruise.

If you’re coming from Townsville, add your ferry tickets as an optional extra. We’ll email the tickets through to you before the day so everything is seamless on the day.
